PERCEPTION TOOLS

Why these tools exist

A tool for the moment before.

Before a decision, reaction, judgment, or AI prompt, something has often already happened. Meaning has appeared. An assumption has formed. A familiar story has begun to look like the situation itself.

Perception Tools creates a small amount of space at that moment.

The tools do not assume your interpretation is wrong. They help make it visible enough to examine—including the possibility that it is right.

The aim is simple: see what may already be shaping what happens next.

01

Experience before explanation.

Use the tool first. The idea should become visible through the experience.

02

No diagnosis.

A tool can ask a better question without telling you who you are.

03

The tool questions itself.

Your original framing may be appropriate. The tool must leave room for that.

04

Private by default.

The first tools work entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is saved or sent.

Perception Tools is created by SEE DIFFERENT, a body of work exploring what shapes perception before it becomes action.
